Getting There

Located in Blanding , Utah ; Take Hwy 191 south out of Moab to Blanding. In Blanding, continuing straight ahead at the light, follow the signs to Edge of the Cedars State Park.

What You Can See

The museum is the repository for archaeological relics from this region and houses many excellent examples of Anasazi pottery, and other artifacts from nearby sites. Outside, a short distance from the musem, you will find a partially reconstructed "Chacoan" great house and kiva. These have been stabilized and are open to visitors. A day pass costs only $5. If the air is clear, the viewing platform in the museum offers views of Shiprock in New Mexico and Monument Valley in Arizona.
